This month, our MD Sara Ravazza represented SH2IPDRIVE at the RDM event in Rotterdam, joining seven other consortia to pitch to a government panel.
The session focused on sharing achievements, lessons learned, future plans, and the challenges we face in financial strategy, legal frameworks, and cross-sector collaboration.
Sara emphasised that progress in the energy transition still depends on a cooperative approach, and highlighted three key priorities:
⚓ Regulatory pressure – ensuring inland shipping is included in FuelEU.
⚓ Opex support – hydrogen remains costly as infrastructure is still developing.
⚓ Capex relief – essential for maintenance and long-term sustainability.
The panel, Dylan Koenders, Tjerk Opmeer, Jeroen Kremers, and Marco Te Brömmelstroet, will take these insights into account as they explore how to further develop the ideas discussed.
A win–win afternoon full of valuable exchange and shared purpose.
Thanks for having us, RDM and team!
