Funding

FLAGSHIPS : Funding received for Fuel Cells (3 x200kWe) and other equipment

Project info (in affiliations page already): The FLAGSHIPS project will take zero-emission waterborne transport to an entirely new level by deploying two commercially operated hydrogen fuel cell vessels in 2023. The Zulu will operate in France, and the FPS Waal between Rotterdam and Duisburg.

Interreg ZEM Ports NS : Funding received for Fuel cells (3x200kWe)

Project info : The objective of Zero Emission Ports North Sea (‘ZEM Ports NS’), is to facilitate the use of zero emission fuels (electric and hydrogen) in the North Sea Region ports and maritime sector. The project directly addresses the integration of zero emission fuels into the port refuelling infrastructure, and local energy systems, as well as, port and on-ship energy storage. ZEM Ports NS has provided funding to support the retrofitting of the FPS Waal project by subsidising key equipment such as the PEM Fuel Cells (600kWe).

SDS (RVO) : Funding received for electrical, propulsion, hydrogen equipment, and yardwork

The Subsidie Duurzame innovatieve Scheepsbouw (SDS), also known as ‘Subsidy for Sustainable Innovative Shipbuilding’, stimulates innovations for building/renovating inland vessels, seagoing vessels and offshore structures. The emphasis is on new, experimental technologies in the field of sustainability, emission reduction, alternative fuels and noise reduction.
